Advanced Electronic Centrifugal Switch Technology
Traditional single-phase AC motors have relied on mechanical centrifugal switches for decades, transitioning from start windings to main windings. These mechanical switches face challenges including tolerance build-up, mechanical fatigue, vibration, and electrical sparking. Motor failures in normal operating conditions often result from the degradation of these mechanical components.
The Electronic Centrifugal Switch (ECS) represents a reliable solid-state solution that replicates the functions of conventional centrifugal switches while providing the additional benefits of electronic technology. The ECS continuously monitors speed voltage/current and phase, with an internal ASIC controlling the switching operation. At the cut-off point, motor speed typically accelerates to 60-80% of synchronous speed. During overload conditions or when motor speed decreases to approximately 20-40% of synchronous speed, the ECS automatically reconnects the starting capacitor.
